Itinerary (day 01)

03:30 am begins our excursion to the Rainbow Mountain, we will depart towards the south of the city of Cusco. Our first stop is in the Andean community of Anchipata where we will enjoy our breakfast (scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, fruit salad, hot drinks).

After breakfast, we will continue our route until we reach a shepherds' hamlet called Kairawiri (4356 m / 14.287 ft.). There we will begin our walk of approximately two and a half hours towards Vinicunca or the Rainbow Mountain.

Along the way, we will observe a large number of Andean camelids in their natural habitat such as the llama and the alpaca. We will walk through flat terrains, beautiful gorges and imposing snow-capped mountains.

Finally, After passing the snowy Ausangate we will be able to observe the change of the landscape that will give us to the sight the imposing mountain range of the seven colors of Vinicunca (5020 m / 16.466 ft.). Also called Rainbow Mountain.

Here our guide will explain in detail about the orography, ecosystem, and color of the mountain. Then we will walk to the opposite side from where we can take the most beautiful photos of the Rainbow Mountain.

After enjoying the wonderful scenery we will return along the same path to where our mobility is located. We will board our bus with destination again to the Andean community of Anchipata where we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch.

Then we will return to our mobility to the city of Cusco. Arriving at approximately 06:00 p.m.
