Program

Day 1

Cusco - Km 82 - Wayllabamba - Yuncachimpa.

We leave by bus from Cusco (3350m), at 5:30 am. On the way we observe extensive fields of cultivation and villages that maintain their ancestral traditions and customs.

The kilometer 82, marks the meeting place with the support team (porters) and the starting point of the Inca Trail. We continue to Wayllabamba (3100m), and finally take the ascent to our Yuncachimpa camp (3300m).

Walking time: 06 hours.

Day 2

Yuncachimpa - Llulluchapampa - Warmihuañusca - Pacaymayu - Chaquicocha.

The sunrise offers the most pleasant panorama of a cozy and enigmatic stage. Therefore the morning is cool for taking the Yuncachimpa valley (3300m), Lulluchapampa (3850m) and then the highest pass called "Warmihuañusca" (4200m), where we observe the impressive Nevado Verónica.

After enjoying, we descend to the valley of Pacaymayu (3500m). Then we continue to the passage of Runcuracay (3950m): place where we see our camp of Chaquicocha (3650m), deep in the tropical forest.

Day 3

Chaquicocha - Wiñayhuayna.

It is the most beautiful day, because of the constant changes of the ecosystem: tropical forests become denser.

We visited the archaeological groups of Phuyupatamarca (3600m) and Wiñayhuayna (2650m), place of our last camp.

Walking time: 07 hours.

MEALS INCLUDED: BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER.

Day 4

Wiñayhuayna - Machu Picchu - Cusco.

After our breakfast, at 5:00 am, we head with our lanterns towards the Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku) at 2780m, where the dawn of Machu Picchu.

At 8:00 am, we visit the citadel of Machu Picchu (2400m), a place that will enrich us, for its history and culture, in harmony with nature.

Then you will have free time to enjoy the tranquility, before taking the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and continue by bus to Cusco (3350m).

Walking time: 02 hours.
